Welcome to the Alliance Française Bethlehem — a cultural bridge that brings us together.
We are not just a language centre but a French-Palestinian meeting space founded in Bethlehem in 2003. The Alliance Française is a Palestinian non-profit association working under the supervision of the Palestinian Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Interior, serving as Bethlehem's window onto francophone cultures.
The association is run in a spirit of cooperation and transparency under Palestinian law by a board of 9 volunteer members, elected every three years by the general assembly, and a team of a director, a pedagogical coordinator, an administrative assistant and around ten specialised teachers working daily to deliver the best educational and cultural services.
We proudly carry the banner of the worldwide Alliance Française, headquartered in Paris. By joining us you become part of a network of 800 centres in 131 countries — and alongside our colleagues in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt we form a regional cultural community.
